Characteristics Of Aluminized Steel Pipe
1. Thermal reflection property
The surface of the aluminized steel sheet is not only beautiful, but also has excellent reflection performance. At the temperature below 500℃, it has about 80% reflectivity of light; The reflectivity in infrared is 95 percent. Therefore, Aluminium sheets can be made into highly efficient insulation barriers or heat reflectors in high-temperature applications.
2. Corrosion resistance
In the ion series, aluminum tends to be more resistive than Mn, Mo, Cr, W, Cd, Fe and Zn. But because of the aluminum oxide film itself has good stability, so the surface corrosion resistance, in addition to some environmental conditions, is much better than galvanized steel plate. In the hot dip plating process, the molten aluminum immediately reacts with oxygen in the air to form a protective layer of Al2O3, which makes the surface of the steel sheet passivated immediately. The protective layer itself is very stable and insoluble in water, and it heals itself even if the steel surface is later scratched. Therefore, the aluminum plated sheet has a strong corrosion resistance to chemical corrosion.

Aluminized steel plate is a kind of cold rolled steel plate as the base material, after continuous hot dip plating processing, the surface coating is aluminum silicon alloy steel plate.
Aluminized steel plate is as easy to weld as traditional plated steel plate, but the welding conditions are different.
Because the aluminum metal is relatively soft, it is easy to combine, and because of its strong electrical conductivity, the thermal conductivity of the welded part is better than that of the cold rolled steel plate.
The coating of aluminized steel plate is higher than the melting point of galvanized steel plate, it is not easy to flow, the melting area is small, so it is not necessary to use the current of welding galvanized steel plate.
At the same time, the harmful smoke produced in the welding process is very little, which can effectively protect the environment.
Metal electrode inert gas welding (MIG) or MIG "short arc" welding is often protected with Ar gas, so as to improve the stability of the welding arc, so that the welding sputtering is significantly reduced, and the appearance of the welding seam is tidy and good-looking.
MIG or MIG "short arc" welds usually have low welding voltages (about 15 to 24V), and titanium type electrodes are used for conventional welds.
Welding Manner
When high frequency or low frequency welding technology is used to process aluminized steel plate into pipe and other products, the edge of the steel plate should be wiped before welding.
Spot welding of aluminized steel plate requires higher current and closer monitoring of the welding process than cold rolled steel plate. At the same time, electrode maintenance is very important and should be corrected at any time to prevent deformation of the contact surface.
The effective way to extend the service life of the electrode is to properly calibrate the welding nozzle and effective water cooling. The general minimum cooling water is 7 L/min and the water temperature is not more than 25 degrees Celsius.
Due to the conductive and thermal conductivity of the coating, a larger welding current is required. The spherical electrode of hard copper alloy shall be used.
The following table is the welding conditions of spot welding of aluminized steel plate, which is for reference only (gene ral commercial grade, the coating amount is 40g/m2 on both sides). Users should adjust it according to the actual working conditions.

The copper alloy knurling wheel is best used in the seam welding wheel, because the knurling wheel can prevent adhesion of the steel plate coating and maintain a constant working face width, so it does not need to be corrected. The welding part of the electrode wheel can be rinsed with water to provide sufficient cooling.
